Experienced Veterinary Technician, Certified Veterinary Paramedic, and Dog Trainer
I’ve loved animals all my life — both learning about and taking care of them. I founded Animal Companions in 2003 to share my love of animals and caregiving experience with pet owners all over the Houston area.
I am an experienced Veterinary Technician, Certified Veterinary Paramedic, and Dog Trainer.
I was a Veterinary Technician for 9 years: 2 years at PetVet and 7 years at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) in the Surgery department. I worked mostly with dogs and cats, but occasionally assisted with handling ferrets, parrots, rabbits, iguanas, snakes, and other exotics.
While working toward my Veterinary Paramedic certification, I volunteered in the avian section at the Houston Zoo, assisted at Citizens for Animal Protection, and worked with horses at the Stevens and Pruitt Ranch.
As a professional Dog Trainer, I trained boarding dogs and assisted teaching Basic Obedience classes. I have trained my own dogs in Obedience, Agility, and Tracking.
I have had various pets: parakeets, cockatiels, finches, turtles, hamsters, rats, hermit crabs, goldfish, cichlid tropical fish, guppies, anole lizards, frogs, a horse, and many dogs and cats.
From 2003-2007, my husband and I volunteered for Houston Area Doberman Rescue as a foster home.
I pride myself on the high standard of care and services that I offer. I have a number of clients who consider me to be an integral member of their family.

Dedicated to caring for animals, I became a professional Pet Sitter in 2003. Ever since, I have been providing loyal and loving care to pets all over the Southwest Houston area.
I am particularly passionate about working dogs and dogs that have a lot of energy who need help expending that energy constructively so they can be good canine citizens in their household. I'm not only a dog person, though - there are a great number of cats and birds of which I am very fond. I also specialize in handling pets with special needs and administering various medications.
I pride myself on my patience, kindness and competence — and my clients would agree. It’s why so many of them use my services on a regular basis. I can’t wait to start looking after your precious pet.

It has been a great experience knowing that my clients have entrusted me with their fur babies while they are at work or traveling. It is truly an honor. It is a big responsibility to make sure my client's dogs get proper exercise and time to explore the outdoors. My husband always tells me that my “job” is so essential to so many people, they count on me and that it must be wonderful to care for these dogs who can’t wait to see me when I arrive to greet and walk them each day. They are always so excited and so happy to see me! I’m very appreciative to the dogs I care for provide me so much joy and give me the energy to do this “job” with passion! and of course for keeping me in such a great shape..!
